The Kitty Crochet Club is a paws-on membership for cat-loving creatives who want to learn through play, not perfection. Whether you tweak the pattern on purpose or your kitty turns out delightfully wonky with mismatched eyes — we love them all! Because here, creativity IS the pattern — and we follow cats, not instructions.

With these quick and portable projects, you're free to play and make each kitty truly your own - straying from the patterns is encouraged, and individuality is celebrated! This lets you go beyond the "how to" and gain the full benefits of crocheting, including a calming, screen-free way to unwind and de-stress.

This Club is about creativity, not just learning techniques, so there's no pressure to "get it right," making it a perfect escape for all skill levels looking to relax, recharge, and create at your own pace!

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Once you join the Kitty Crochet Club, you'll immediately (within a few minutes) receive a confirmation email with instructions on what to expect and next steps.

You'll start with the basic kitty (no geeky embellishments). This basic kitty will get you familiarized with the pattern and core design. You'll receive your first pattern within minutes and can get started right away!

Embellished kitty projects are released on or around the 1st of each month. Members on the physical plan will receive a kit for the latest design (shipped on or around the 1st). Members on the digital plan will receive a pattern credit each month that they can use to unlock any pattern of their choosing from the kitty library. Choosing projects on the physical plan is not available at this time.

These projects follow monthly themes of pop culture, holidays, fandoms, and other whimsical designs to exercise your creativity with minor additional elements. Each comes with ideas for customizing your kitty to your own unique tastes.

Additionally, you'll be invited to the Catio - an online hub with all the patterns, video tutorials, and resources - plus a private Facebook group where you can connect with your fellow crocheters, share completed projects, and chat about all things cats and crochet!

And keep an eye on your inbox, where you'll receive Club updates and your invites to monthly virtual Crafty Hours with your fellow cat lovers.
WHAT IF I'M NOT ON FACEBOOK?
That's ok! You might miss some of the community discussions in the group, but you'll still have access to the online monthly Crafty Hours, which will be conducted via Zoom.

All patterns, tutorials, and additional resources will be uploaded to the Catio, an online hub that you'll log into.

Plus, all important Club announcements and updates will be emailed so you're never out of the loop!

I'M NOT IN THE U.S. CAN I JOIN?
Absolutely! As everything is available online, this digital membership is accessible worldwide!

Patterns are written primarily for U.S. crocheters, however, non-U.S. translations are also provided.
WHEN WILL I GET MY PROJECTS?
You get immediate access to the pattern and tutorials for the basic kitty - the foundation for each new design!

New patterns are released inside the Catio on or around the 1st of every month. If you join on or before the 15th of the month, your first embellished pattern will be available at the start of next month. If you join after the 15th, you'll get your first geeky pattern the following month (though you'll have the basic kitty - and maaaayyyybe a few extras - to work on in the meantime).
WHAT IF I'VE NEVER CROCHETED BEFORE?
These projects are purrfect for you! These kitties are easy and fun to make, and they don't require any advanced techniques. The Amigurumi Bootcamp will help you with all the stitches and techniques you need, and the final video in this bonus mini series will have you practice these lessons by making a sphere in real time.

Then, your first kitty project will get you familiarized with the basics of the actual kitty pattern, and subsequent projects will build on that.

All patterns are written out in plain English, so you don't have to stumble on confusing abbreviations.

Plus, you'll always have video tutorials, monthly live Crafty Hours, and the community to lean on if you get stuck!
WHAT IF I ALREADY KNOW HOW TO CROCHET?
This membership is focused on creativity, not techniques. Therefore, it's great for all levels of experience!

The truth is, even if you're brand new to crocheting, you'll master the basic kitty mini pattern quickly. But that's just the start. Every month, we'll build on this basic pattern to make kitties of all sorts. With so many fandoms, holidays, and designs to choose from, you'll never get bored!

And when you join the Kitty Crochet Club, you'll find that we encourage straying from the pattern to make these kitties truly your own. This is a judgement-free zone for you to play!
ARE THERE PATTERNS FOR LEFTIES?
This has been a popular request! As I am right-handed, patterns are written from a right-handed perspective and tutorials are recorded primarily for right-handed crocheters. However, the Club now also features mirrored tutorials for easier left-handed demonstration!
HOW DO THESE DIFFER FROM OTHER CROCHET MEMBERSHIPS?
First, this is the only crochet membership in the world (that I know of) completely dedicated to geeky cat lovers! Sure, you can find lots of amigurumi inspired by pop culture and fandoms, but how many of them are cats? And there are dozens (if not hundreds) of kitty amigurumi patterns out there. But I don't know anyone else building on kitties' cuteness in this way.

Second, most crochet memberships are aimed at teaching you how to crochet. You'll absolutely learn how to crochet when you join the Kitty Crochet Club. However, that's not its primary goal. Instead, it's about rediscovering your inner child, embracing your creativity, and giving you permission to play again. The base pattern is the same every month; only the design changes. Therefore, you'll quickly learn the techniques, leaving you free to play with the design and make these kitties truly your own (each pattern even comes with suggestions for customization!).

Finally, most programs out there simply give you the pattern and leave you to figure it out for yourself. The Kitty Crochet Club goes beyond the patterns with a dedicated online community, video tutorials of the projects you're actually working on, and monthly social Crafty Hours where you can get guidance in real time. How many memberships offer that?
CAN'T I JUST LEARN FROM YOUTUBE FOR FREE?
Absolutely you can! And some folks do very well there.

However, there is a LOT of content on YouTube, and most of it is poor quality, confusing, or completely irrelevant to what you're trying to make.

The Kitty Crochet Club includes tutorial videos for exactly the projects you're making, without needing to wade through all the cruft of the internet. Plus, everything inside the Catio (your Club online resource hub) is fully searchable (even more so than YouTube!) so you can get right to the videos you need.

And the best part: if the tutorials don't help you where you need it, you still have both the community and monthly live Crafty Hours to ask your specific questions and get customized guidance!
WHAT IF I DON'T JOIN TODAY?
It's simple: you'll miss out on the next project. These geeky kitty patterns are only available to Club members; I don't sell them individually. Therefore, once a month's project is sold out, that's it. Additionally, each month's pattern is sent to those who sign up by the 15th of the previous month. You'll still get the starter project, but if you sign up after the 15th, you'll have to wait a month for the next geeky kitty. WHAT'S THE NEXT KITTY DESIGN?
Club members actually influence each month's design, so I don't know yet!

Once inside, you'll have an opportunity to weigh in on which design you most want to crochet the next month. As these specialty designs are exclusive to Club members, I don't announce them to the general public, though you can see an example of what's been offered in the past on this page.

The earlier you join, the more kitties you'll have access to!
WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DIGITAL AND VIP?
When you join the Kitty Crochet Club, you get access to a new geeky kitty design pattern, associated video tutorials for each step, a private Facebook group, and a virtual crochet Crafty Hour via Zoom each month. This is true for all members, regardless of the option you choose.

Those who select the physical option additionally receive kits in the mail each month, with all the materials and tools needed to make each kitty. This includes a crochet hook, stitch markers, yarn needle, all of the yarn, beads, stuffing, and any other accessories necessary to complete each kitty.

The digital option is best for those who:
- already have a lot of yarn on-hand
- live outside the USA
- are seeking a more affordable option
- otherwise prefer to just receive monthly patterns and hang out with fellow crafty cat lovers

The physical option is best for those who:
- are new to crochet
- prefer to not shop for supplies
- love the convenience of having all-inclusive projects delivered straight to their door

*Note that only digital members can choose their designs each month. Physical kits are predetermined.
CAN I GIFT THE KITTY CROCHET CLUB?
Of course! First, complete the purchase of the option you'd like to gift. You can gift the monthly or annual. Be sure to put in your information for billing and contact email so we don't ruin the surprise!

Once your purchase is complete, you'll receive a confirmation email with a link to fill out gifting information. Complete this to immediately notify your gift recipient of their gift. You will also have the opportunity to supply a gift message. Feel free to respond to the confirmation email with any other instructions pertaining to your gift.

Unless you specify otherwise, the first project will be sent to your gift recipient immediately, and the first geeky kit will be sent on the first of the month (next month for those who purchase by the 15th, the following month for those who purchase after).

Fixed-term gift options are also available for 3- and 6-month gifts. Please email club@kittyminis.com for more information on these options.
